質問: 査読プロセスがとても遅いジャーナルに、最終リマインドメールを送ることの是非

ある雑誌に論文を投稿しましたが、下記のように査読プロセスがとても遅く困っています。 投稿：2016年8月9日 1回目査読（2名）：2016年10月25日（minor revision） 再投稿：2016年10月25日（同日中に修正版を再投稿） その後、12月・1月・2月と毎月状況確認をしていますが、「さらにもう一人別の査読者を探している」という同じ返事が繰り返されています。高名なジャーナルでもないので、そろそろ見切りをつけて最終リマインド＆取り下げも考えていることを伝えようと思いますがいかがでしょうか？アドバイスを頂けますと幸いです。 ******************Dear XXXEditorial OfficePlease allow us sending you a final reminder regarding our manuscript submission, submitted to XXX on Aug 9th, 2016. We have received following Editor's comment after the first-round review on Oct 25th, 2016: "Based on these reports, and my own assessment as Editor, I am pleased to inform you that it is potentially acceptable for publication in XXX, once you have carried out some essential revisions suggested by our reviewers". Almost one month has passed since we received following latest response from the editorial office: "At present, we are still seeking another reviewer to provide a report in order for a scientifically sound decision to be made. Rest assured we are personally inviting referees in order to secure another report in a timely manner". We have been checked "current status" every day, but it still remains "Under Review". Has there any progress on that? Could you please let us know when we can expect notice regarding the final decision of our submission. We are sorry for rushing you every month, and look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible. We have never experienced this kind of delay in other XXX journals despite only minor revisions, so we are now thinking about withdrawing the manuscript from further consideration by your journal.
