The existence of greek mythology in so called “popular” music is very more significant and frequent than one could think in their imagination. A few interesting snippets of this phenomena can be found in some songs and ballads of the sixties. But in that period the mentions of greek gods, heroes/ heroines seem to be incidental, loose and sometimes even ironic. The most surprising, amazing part of this bizarre song consists in a musical adaptation of Sappho’s  Ode toAphrodite: the lyrics are just as same as theoriginal Greek text the words are spelled with a correct Erasmian pronunciation; and the rhythm is the one of a sapphic paragraph.
